In vino veritas. And in colored wine glasses, there is rebellious joy.
Normally I'm a purist when it comes to wine glasses: I like them clear and made by Zalto. Maybe it's the rise in popularity of the rainbow Estelle colored glass that has me warming to the idea of colored wine glasses. Or perhaps it's just fun no matter what's in style to be a maverick, break with tradition and add some color to your cupboard.
Whatever the reason, I'm enamored with these lavender-stemmed glasses with a light aqua-emerald cup made in Italy. The color saturation level is juuust right, the shape is versatile and they have the slightest hint of iridescense. Now that you've seen them, can you imagine drinking rose out of anything else?? Chiaretto, Cerasoulo and Rosato, here we come.
Let your sommelier friends roll their eyes. They won't know what they're missing.
